Resonate

Resonate began life as a phase two of Recollect and was brought to Portsmouth's Historic Dockyards to exhibit. From there it became an artist development programme presenting the works of five Portsmouth-based artist groups whose brief was to respond directly to the 'memory sculptures' made for Recollect.
Resonate is led by Thomas Buckley. My role on this programme was as a mentor to the seven creatives chosen from an open call:

Teresa Grimaldi
Lara Kobeissi
Riyadh Haque
Callum Bowman and Hayley Jane Simmons
The artists experimented with how memories can be expressed and reshaped through the use of contemporary mediums and emerging technologies.
The programme culminated in an exhibition of the new works, alongside their originals, in Treadgolds, Portsmouth.
This was followed up by a micro-conference, PAST MAKES FUTURE, at the Guildhall in Portsmouth, exploring the opportunities and potential interventions between the arts, heritage and technology.
