Self, Contained

Self, Contained is a series of works in that explores the ideas of architecture, the home, and the self within these spaces. How entwined are we in the spaces we occupy, and how accurately can they act as self-portraiture? How much protection and comfort do we gain from them? And how much disquietude do they hold? Is home a sanctuary or a prison? Is it a reflection or an attempt at deflection?
The employment of the miniature or 'dolls house' as a trope in this series has the power to attract and then, on closer inspection, to repel. To disturb is to question.
